Everything on this site, in the videos and in the book Tony Takes It Back, is general consumer information. It explains how businesses make their money. It isn't financial, legal, tax or investment advice, and it isn't advice about your own situation. For a decision that matters, talk to someone qualified who knows your circumstances.

No promise of savings

Knowing how a business works can help you ask better questions. It doesn't guarantee a better price, and we don't promise that you'll save money. Some of these businesses are a fair deal, and we try to say when.

Numbers change

Figures come from public sources such as company filings, official records and reporting, and most pages list where they came from. The book's figures were checked in October 2026. Prices, fees and policies change, differ by location and can differ from what you see in a particular shop. Check the ones that matter to you before you rely on them.

The book is mostly about businesses in the United States. Rules and prices elsewhere can be quite different.

Company names

Company and brand names are used only to describe publicly reported facts about them. Tony Talks has no connection to any of these companies, and they haven't reviewed or approved anything here. Trademarks belong to their owners.

Be polite

The things we suggest saying are polite questions and simple no-thank-yous. Nothing here tells you to break a contract, misuse a policy or say anything untrue.
